1988 Uprising -
It was a series of nationwide protests, marches and civil unrest in  Burma (Myanmar) that peaked in August 1988.
The protests began as a student movement and were organised largely by university students at the Rangoon Arts and Sciences University and the Rangoon Institute of Technology (RIT).

During the crisis, Aung San Suu Kyi emerged as a national icon.


IIT- Madras have developed the first of a family of six industry-standard microprocessors-

They are produced under Project Shakti and have been fabricated free at Intel’s facility at Oregon, U.S., to run the Linux operating system.

Uakitite

Scientists named newly discovered mineral Uakitite , after it has been found in russia.
The Piece Contain 98% Kamacite. The minerals which it contain does not found on Earth, it mainly found in Space.

Maitree 2018-

An annual joint military training exercise between India and Thailand.
In 2017 It was held in  Himachal Pradesh’s Bakloh .
This time 2018 edition of this exercise is being held in Thailand.

·        Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have passed a Bill providing for death penalty to those convicted of raping girls of 12 years and below.
