1. How severe is the problem of fake news in India? How can it be tackled?

Answer- Indian mythology depicts that there was an asura called Raktabija , the drop of blood was so powerful that after falling on ground it instantly transformed into a new asura, so it was difficult to kill them. Similarly fake news are like asura because it born in a thinking mind of somebody. Fake news is a serious problem for our huge nation, because it misleads and misguides the actual news or information and it affects the young man’s mind so drastically which can cause serious threat to any community or individual. It is difficult to find the origin of fake news because in India the news which instantly became viral has very less text information , it contains mostly Image embedded text which is almost difficult to find by an AI. The major source of fake news are Social media giant like FACEBOOK and WHATSAPP ,now a days the penetration of internet in every city to every village is common , despite being spread social message on these sites , many wrong minds spread community based fake news and it reaches in very less time to every one. Solutions – This problem can be tackled with the help of AI led algorithms. Many companies like MetaFact is working to tackle this serious probles. Suggestion- Government of India should take a serious step to curb these fake news from Social media instantly before reaching to people. Conclusion- Due to lack of education and awareness in rural areas many people believe fake news as a real news and they started forwarding these news.
